Beware gambling dens of Malaysia! As part of an increased clampdown drive, police have adopted a no tolerance policy toward illegal gambling.
Police said the gambling dens had been active for two weeks. Meanwhile, police checked 420 vehicles and issued 185 summonses in Kuala Lumpur early yesterday. In a recent raid, officers seized 109 gaming machines and RM807 in cash.
The operation, dubbed Ops Sam-seng, was conducted by the Kuala Lumpur traffic police department to weed out such operations.
