The guidelines below are for a rectangular cake, resembling a slot machine. If you prefer a round cake, you could make it into a roulette wheel or a casino chip.
1. Frost your rectangular cake with white frosting.
2. Fill a pastry bag with chocolate frosting. Pipe a rectangular box onto the center of the cake. Pipe two vertical lines inside the box, separating it into three sections. Add another rectangular box at the bottom of the cake. Do not pipe lines inside that box.
3. Clean out the pastry bag and fill it with red frosting. Pipe a border around the edges of the cake with red frosting. Pipe a heart inside each section of the first rectangular box you created so that it looks like someone just pulled the slot machine’s lever and won.
5. Pipe the name of the slot machine onto the top section of the cake that is still blank. If you are creating the cake for someone, consider tailoring it to them, such as “Mark’s Mega Millions.”
6. Cover the foam bar and foam ball with white frosting. Place the bar with the ball on top of it beside the cake so that it looks like the slot machine’s lever.
