Its official – The Ontario Lottery Gaming Corporation as well as the residents of Ottawa, have shown great interest in opening a sparkling new casino in the heart of the city.
“Few Ontario cities have casinos and the first to take the leap was Windsor, 18 years ago. CBC News spoke to residents, stakeholders, gamblers and the OLG to gauge what impact a downtown casino has had on the city’s downtown core.”
Apparently the idea of introducing a casino of this magnitude dates back to around ten years ago, but due to tightened border security and the fact that there was an improvement in the Canadian dollar, the desire for a gaming center slowly disappeared into the distant future.
