Did you know that local Bahamians are not allowed to gamble even though the Bahamas itself has many casinos?
They all serve a foreign market. In a letter to the labour department, one local made the point that it’s a case of serious condescention when the local government cliams that such laws are for the Bahamian’s own protection. Many Bahamians make the point that neither government nor the church should interfere with the public’s right to spend their disposable income in the way that they would wish to.
