Black Jack or "21"
Blackjack was originated in France and is one the most popular casino games in America. The main objective is to get as close to 21 without going over while still beating the dealer's hand. This is done by counting up the value of the cards in your hand. All cards numbered 2 through 10 are at face value. All face cards are valued at 10 while an ace is valued at either 1 or 11 at the player's discretion. Hands containing an ace valued at 11 are considered to be "soft" hands (i.e. A, 6 is a soft 17) while hands containing an ace valued at 1 are considered "hard" hands (i.e. A, 6,Q is a hard 17) A blackjack is an ace and card valued at 10 (10, J, Q, K). In blackjack, the rule is that a 2-card 21 (blackjack) beats any other 21 (3,4,5 card total). A 3-card 21 and a 4-card 21 would be considered a tie.

Before receiving any cards the player must place a wager. Once the wager is made the player is dealt 2 cards face up. The dealer is also dealt two cards, one face up and the other face down. The dealer's "hole" card remains face down until the player's have completed their hands. At this point the dealer turns over his hole card. If his hand totals a hard 17 through 21 he must stand. If his hand is 16 or under the dealer must continue to take cards until either his hand is over 16 or bust (which means over 21). The dealer must hit on a soft 16.

Blackjack at CasinoSunriseinsurance.com follows standard "Las Vegas Strip" rules of the Nevada Gaming Commission, with the following exceptions:

The Player may split twice.

The Player may double on any two cards.

The Dealer only checks for blackjack if his open card is an ace and insurance is taken.

Black Jack Player Options

Hit: This deals the player another card. If your 2 cards were to equal 10 you have nothing lose by requesting another card since your total could not exceed 21.

Stand: This means that the player is satisfied with his hand and does not want to risk another card.

Double Down:
A player, after being dealt his first two cards, is always given the option to double the initial wager. Once you have chosen to do this, click the "DOUBLE" button and you will be dealt a third card and no more. Your hand will only consist of 3 cards.

Splitting:
If you are dealt two cards with identical value you can then split them (i.e. 8,8 or 10,Q). You would now be playing 2 separate hands, each starting with one of the two split cards. You will now be dealt a second card to one of the hands. After this hand is played out the second hand will be dealt a second card and continued until that hand is played out. All regular rules apply to each hand with the ability to double down. You may only split your hand once and a new wager equal to the initial wager will be placed for each split hand. A split hand blackjack pays out at 1-1 rather the normal 2-1. When splitting aces, the player will only receive one card on each hand.

Insurance:
If the dealer's first card is an Ace, there is a possibility that he may have a Black Jack. The player can, if he believes the bank's hidden card is a 10, insure himself against Black Jack. If you choose to insure yourself you have to pay an amount of half of your stake. If the dealer gets Black Jack, the insurance will pay 2 to 1 which corresponds to your original stake. If you have insured yourself and the dealer does not get Black Jack then you lose your insurance. Your ordinary stake is settled by your cards whatever the bank gets. Therefore, insurance is to be considered a game of its own within Black Jack, and it gives the player a chance to protect himself, when he thinks that the dealer will get Black Jack. Of course, the player should not insure himself when he has Black Jack. In this case, if the dealer gets Black Jack in response to the player's Black Jack, a push is obtained.

Payoffs
: Players win their wager if their total hand is higher than the dealer's without going over 21. If the player busts, then the dealer wins the hand before turning over a card. All hands that total less than the dealer's hand lose. Hands that are equal in value will be considered a tie, or a "push", and the player's original wager will leave the table. If the player gets a Black Jack the payout will be at 3:2 rather than 1:1.

Caribbean Stud
This table game is played with one deck of cards. The player has two ways of winning in this stud game. The first is similar to other table games. The player places an ante on the space provided on the table. The dealer will deal a hand of five cards to the player and a hand of five cards to himself. The final card dealt to the dealer is dealt face up so that the player can see the value of the card.

The player can now make the decision to fold or bet. If the player chooses to fold, the hand and ante is surrendered to the dealer and a new hand begins. If the player chooses to bet, and therefore compares their hand to the dealers hand, the player has to place the bet on the table. The bet has to be twice the value of the ante, no more, no less. The dealer will then show the player his cards.

The dealer qualifies for play if his hand is ranked with an Ace, King or higher. If the dealer does not have a qualifying hand and the player has bet then the dealer pushes the players bet and ante back plus the amount of the ante, as winnings. If the dealer has a qualifying hand and the player beats the dealer the player wins an equal value to his ante and the bet is paid out at odds to the value of the player's hand.

The Progressive
The second game that is going on inside the regular one is the progressive game(a five card hand that is a flush or better) . This game is an optional side game added the regular table game. This game is implemented and resolved every hand. The player makes the decision to play the progressive at the beginning of each hand. Then the benefits for getting a progressive hand are only valid if the player paid for the progressive at the beginning of that hand. The pay out rates for progressive hands are fixed for the most part, when he player gets a straight flush the progressive pay out is 10% of the pot. If the player gets a royal flush the pay out is 100% of the pot.

Hand Payout
(Progressive in Italics)
Progressive Payout
Royal Flush 100 to 1 (+100% of pot)
Straight Flush 50 to 1 (+10% of pot)
Four of a Kind 20 to 1 (+$250.00)
Full House 7 to 1 (+$150.00)
Flush 5 to 1 (+$100.00)
Straight 4 to 1
Three of a Kind 3 to 1
Two Pair 2 to 1
A + K, or Pair 1 to 1.

Pai Gow Poker
Pai Gow Poker, is a game that has its roots in the ancient Chinese game, Pai Gow. However, it combined with American Poker, and has evolved into the modern game of Pai Gow Poker.

Pai Gow is played with a 53-card deck consisting of a standard 52-card deck with 1 wild card. The object of the game is to split your hand into a five-card hand and a two card hand with both hands beating the dealer's two hands to win. The wild card is not a true wild card and has specific rules. The card only acts as an ace or the fifth card in either a flush or a straight. It cannot be used to make a pair of tens or queens After you receive your seven cards you must split them into two hands, a five-card hand and a two-card hand. The five-card hand must always rank higher than the two-card hand.

To do this move the mouse pointer over the cards you want to make your two-card hand. Click on the two cards one at a time and they will split out of the deck. Notice that once you have chosen an eligible two-card hand (not better than your five-card hand) the split button becomes available.

If you are happy with your choice click on this split button and you will have your two playing hands. If you are not satisfied with your choices click on the card or cards which you want to change and they will go back into your seven-card hand. Now choose the new cards you wish to play with. You may do this until you press the split button at which point your hands are locked-in. The dealer will then split his hand and the game will play itself out. Each five-card hand is ranked according to the standard poker hand hierarchy. Remember that because of the wild card, you have the potential to have five aces, which beats a royal flush. Your two-card hand can either be a pair or no pair, therefore, your highest possible two-card hand would be a pair of aces. The wild card can function in several ways. It can act as an ace in any hand or the fifth card in a straight, a flush, a straight flush, or a royal flush.

Payoffs
The only way for the player to win is to win both hands outright. The house wins if the dealer wins both hands outright or wins one hand and the other hand is a draw. Any other combination results in a push. This will lead to many draws, so there will be a 5% commission on all player wins, which will be automatically deducted from the player's account. Apart from the commission, all winning wagers are paid out at even money (1 to 1).

Roulette
Roulette consists of a wheel with 38 numbers, these include the numbers 1-36, 0, and 00. After all the bets have been established the wheel is spun and a ball is placed on the outer edge of the wheel. The ball will then drop into one of the numbered pockets once the wheel slows down. The numbers on the wheel alternate pairs of odd numbers with pairs of even numbers and alternate between black and red. The two zeros are green in color and are placed at opposite ends of the wheel. The object of the game is to determine which number or color the ball with ultimately land on.

The table layout is arranged so that the 36 numbers are arranged in 3 columns of 12 numbers each. The numbers are in sequence, and can be either red or black, depending on the number. There are two types of roulette bets: inside bets and outside bets. There 6 inside bets: straight bet, split bet, street bet, corner bet, five number bet, and a line bet. There are three basic outside bets: even-money, column, and dozen bets. You can place as many different types of bets at any time. There are no limits to the number of wagers placed on each spin. There is a winning number display at the top right of your screen to help you find the last winning numbers.

Roulette Inside Bets

Straight Bet: You can bet on one number by placing a chip in the center of the number you want to place your bet on (1-36, 0, 00). If that number wins you are paid 35 to 1.

Split Bet or Two Number Bet: You must place your chip on the line between two separate numbers. If the ball lands on either of these numbers you win. The pay out is 17 to 1.

Street Bet or Three Number Bet: This allows you to cover three numbers in a row with one bet. To make this bet place your chip in the outside line of the row you want to bet on. If one of these three numbers comes up, you win. The pay out is 11 to 1.

Corner Bet:
Place your chip in the center of four numbers and if one of these numbers comes up you win. Pays at 8 to 1.

Five Bet: The only five number bet you can make is on the numbers 0, 00, 1, 2 and 3. Place your chip on the outside line that divides the 0 and 1. If any of these 5 numbers comes up you will be paid 6 to 1.

Six Line Bet:
Allows you to bet on two rows of three numbers. Place your chip in between the outside line of the last numbers of the two rows. If any of the 6 numbers come up you will be paid 6 to 1.

Roulette Outside Bets

Red or Black Bet: Bet on either red or black. Place your chip on either the red spot of the black spot. This bet pays at 1 to 1.

Any Number or High Number Bet: Bet on whether the next number will be 1 through 18 or 19 through 36. Place your chip on either 1 to 18 spot or on the 19 to 36 spot. You lose if either the 0 or the 00 come up. This bet pays at 1 to 1.

Even or Odd Bet:
Bet on whether the number will come up as even or odd. Place your chip on the even spot or the odd spot. You lose if either the 0 or the 00 come up. This bet pays at 1 to 1.

1st 12, 2nd 12, 3rd 12:
These bets divide the roulette table into the numbers 1-12, 13-24, and 25-36. Place your chip on one of three spots: 1st 12, 2nd 12, or the 3rd 12. This bet pays 2-1.

0 and 00 Bet:
Bet the number 0 or 00 by placing your chip on the corresponding spot. This bet pays at 35 to 1.

Column Bets: A column bet is a bet on any one of the three long columns of numbers. To make the column bet place your chip on any one of the 2 to 1 spots. This bet pays 2 to 1.

Battle Royale
Battle Royale is similar to the card game of War. One card will be dealt to the player face up and then one card will be dealt to the dealer. Whoever has the higher card wins. This will continue unless there is a tie between the dealer and the player. At this point the player will be prompted to surrender or continue. If the player chooses to surrender, he loses his bet and a new hand is dealt. If the player decides to battle he doubles his bet and cards are dealt out one by one to the player and then to the dealer. If the dealer wins, the house gets the player's entire wager, while if the player wins he only receives his initial wager. If there is a second tie within the battle than the player will get paid out at 7 to 1.

Red Dog
Red Dog is a game played with a 52 card deck and uses only 3 cards at a time. The object of the game is to bet on what the third card is going to be. The dealer will deal out 2 cards, one on the left and one on the right. In order for the player to win the third card's rank must come between the other two card's rank. So if the two cards are a 5 and a Jack, a winning hand would consist of a card between a 6 and a ten. The closer the two cards are in rank the higher the pay out.

Before the player sees the third card, he has the option of doubling his bet by clicking on the raise button. A push happens when the first two cards dealt are either consecutive or are a pair. If the third card dealt makes three of a kind then the player is paid out at 11 to 1.

Baccarat
The object of baccarat is to hold 2 or 3 cards, which count 9, or as nearly 9 as possible. The values of the cards are: face cards and tens are 0; aces are 1; any other card is worth its face value. Unit of 10 points are disregarded so that 9+7 count as 6, not 16. The dealer will deal out cards to both the player and dealer. Depending on the value the initial 2 card hands have, a third card may be dealt to either one of the hands. Ultimately the winning hand will be the one closest to 9. You have the choice of betting on either the player's hand or the dealer's hand. To place a bet you have to either click on the word "player" or on the word "dealer" and your bet will be placed on the table automatically.

Sic Bo
Sic Bo is a game somewhat like roulette in that there are many places on the table to place bets. 3 dice are used to determine the outcome of the betting. Once you have finished placing your bets click on the roll button.

Sic Bo Betting Areas

Single Number Bets: The bottom row of the Sic Bo table has six betting areas. These are called single number bets. If one of the three dice comes up as one the numbers bet on (from 1-6), you get paid out at 1-1. If two numbers come up you get paid out at 2-1 and if three numbers come up you get paid out at 3-1.

So if bet on the number 6 and you wagered $5.00 and 2 sixes came up you would win $10.00.

1 number appears, pays 1-1
2 numbers appear, pays 2-1
3 numbers appear, pays 3-1

Two Number Combinations:
The two number combination bets consist of placing a wager on any 2 dice combinations. If you wager on a 6,4 combination and the result of the dice roll was 4,7,6, you would win at 5-1 odds. If the result of the dice roll was 6,4,4 you would win twice because there are two combinations of 6,4. These bets pay at 5-1.

Three Number Totals (TNT):
A three number total wager consists of combining the total shown on the resulting dice roll. Different totals have different odds. A result of 3 or 18 is always a loss. The payouts are as follows: Three Number Totals (4-17)

4 or 17     50-1
5 or 16     25-1
6 or 15     15-1
7 or 14     10-1
8 or 13     6-1
9 or 12     5-1
10 or 11     5-1

Small or Big Wager: You can wager on whether the combined total of the dice roll will be either between 4-10 or 11-17. This wager pays out at 1-1 odds. A triplet will always result in a loss for the player.

Triplet Bets: Triplets are when the resulting dice roll consists of all three dice containing the same digit. So if you wagered on three 6's and that was the dice result you would win at 150-1 odds. You can also wager on all six triplet bets at once, this is called "Any Triplet" and pays out at 25-1 odds.

Triplet Bets     150-1
Any Triplet     25-1

Pair Bets: Pairs are when the resulting dice roll contains a pair of the same number. Whether you have two five's or three five's you still only win once and you win at odds of 11-1.

Video Poker
Basics of Poker and Poker Hands:
All poker games inside of our casinos are played with a standard 52-card deck. The cards are ranked according to the value of the number on the card or the value of the face.

The ranking, from highest to lowest, goes as such: Ace (A), King (K), Queen (Q), Jack (J), 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2. The ace can also be used to complete a low straight; A, 2, 3, 4, 5. As well as numbers and faces there are 4 different types of suits which are used to determine the value of a poker hand. These are: Spades (S), Clubs (C), Diamonds (D), Hearts (H). Poker hands are valued based on their five card ranking. These rankings are detailed below: (A rank of 1 equals the best)

Rank Hand Name Description of hand Example
1 Royal Flush A, K, Q, J, 10 of same suit 10S, JS, QS, KS, AS
2 Straight Flush Five cards of same suit in sequence 4D, 5D, 6D, 7D, 8D
3 4 of a kind Four cards of the same rank 7S, 7C, 7D, 7H
4 Full House Three of a kind plus a pair 3D, 3S, 3C, KS, KH
5 Flush Five cards of the same 3H, 7H, 10H, QH, AH
6 Straight Five cards in sequence 5C, 6D, 7C, 8H, 9S
7 3 of a kind Three cards of the same rank JH, JS, JD
8 2 Pair Two pairs of different rank 5H, 5S, 9C, 9S
9 1 Pair Two cards of the same rank AS, AD

Tie Hands: If two hands are tied in rank, the following rules apply:

  1. If two players both have straight flushes, flushes, or straights, the highest card that is part of the hand determines the winning hand. If the highest card still results in a tie then the next highest card will determine the winner. And so on...

  2. If both players have a full house, then the highest 3 of a kind will determine the winner.

  3. If both players have three of a kind the highest ranking three of a kind will be determined the winner.

  4. The highest-ranking pair in the hand will decide two hands with two pair. If this still results in a tie then the remaining pairs will be compared and the highest-ranking pair will then decide the winner.

  5. If both players have a single pair then the highest-ranking pair will win. If this is also a tie then next highest-ranking single card will determine the winner. If this still results in a tie then the next highest single ranking card will determine the winner. And so on...

  6. Two hands with no pairs, flushes, or straights are compared and the card with the highest ranking single card will be determined the winner. If this still yields no winner then the next highest card will be determined the winner. And so on...

Jacks or Better Video Poker: This is a game of draw poker. The dealer will deal you five cards face up. At this point you should decide which cards to keep and which ones to discard. To keep a card, just click on the card or on the hold button below it. Once you are finished picking the cards to be kept, click on the deal button and the dealer will deal your new cards. Depending on how many cards you discard, the same number of new cards will be dealt back into your hand so you end up with five. Whether you win or lose is determined by the rank of your poker hand.

Slot Machines
Your V-Chips will be converted into coins and then used for the slot machines. After you have entered money into the machine you have the option of playing from 1-3 coins or 1-4 coins, depending upon machine. You may hit the bet max button to play for the maximum amount of coins and the reels will automatically begin to spin. The pay outs for the slots are different on both machines and are displayed on the machine itself. In order to win, a winning combination must be displayed in the center of the reels.
